Ezekiel 15:2

“Ae aadam-zaad, kya taak ki lakri aur darakhton ki lakri se, ya‘ni shaakh-e-angoor, jangal ke darakhton se kuchh behtar hai?”
Yeh alfaaz Khuda ke logon ko khaaksaar banane ke liye hain; woh Khuda ki taak kehlate hain, lekin apni fitrat ke aitbaar se kya woh doosron se barh kar hain? Woh Khuda ki meharbani se baar-aawar hue hain kyunke woh achhi zameen mein lagaye gaye; Khudawand ne muqaddas ki deewaron par un ki parwarish ki hai aur woh us ke jalal ke liye phal laate hain; lekin apne Khuda ke baghair un ki kya haisiyat hai? Rooh-ul-Qudus ke paiham asar ke baghair woh kya hain jo un mein yeh baar-aawari paida karta hai?
Ae imaandaar, takabbur ko tark karna seekh kyunke tere paas is ki koi bunyaad nahin hai. Tu jo kuch bhi hai, tere paas aisa kuch nahin jis par tu naaz kare. Tere paas jitna zyada hai, tu utna hi Khuda ka qarzdaar hai; aur tujhe us cheez par hargiz fakhr nahin karna chahiye jo tujhe maqrooz banati ho. Apni auqaat aur asliyyat par ghour kar aur peechhe mur kar dekh ke tu kya tha. Ghour kar ke agar tujh par Khuda ka fazl na hota to tu kya hota.
Apne maujooda maqam aur haisiyat ko dekh. Kya tera zameer tujhe malamat nahin karta? Kya teri hazaaron laghzishen tere saamne khari ho kar tujhe yeh nahin batateen ke tu us ka beta kehlane ke laaiq nahin tha? Aur aaj agar us ne tujhe kuch bana diya hai, to kya tujhe is se yeh sabaq nahin milta ke yeh sirf us ka fazl hi hai jis ne tujhe doosron se mumtaz kiya? Ae azeem imaandaar, agar Khuda tujhe mukhtalif na banata to tu aik bara gunahgaar hota. Ae sachchai ke liye dileri ka da‘wa karne wale, agar Khuda ke fazl ne tujhe na thaama hota to tu batlat ke liye bhi itna hi bahadur hota. Is liye takabbur na kar, agarche tere paas Khuda ke fazl ki aik wasee‘ o areez jaidaad hai, magar aik waqt aisa tha ke tere paas gunah aur museebat ke siwa apna kehne ko kuch na tha. Aah! yeh kaisi ajeeb nadaani hai ke tu, jise sab kuch ihsaan mein mila, khud ko aik bara aadmi samajhne laga hai; tu jo apne Najaat Dehinda ki sakhawat par palne wala aik ghareeb mohtaaj hai aur jis ki zindagi Yasu‘ ki taraf se milne wali zindagi ke taaza chashmon ke baghair aik pal bhi qaim na rahegi, aur us par bhi maghroor hai! Ae naadaan, tujh par afsos!

Job 1:9

“Kya Ayyoob yun hi Khuda se darta hai?”
Yeh aik qadeem raastbaaz shakhs ke baare mein Shaitaan ka shararat bhara sawaal tha, lekin aaj ke daur mein bhi bohot se aise log maujood hain jin ke baare mein adl ke saath yeh poocha ja sakta hai, kyunke woh Khuda se aik khaas tareeqe se is liye muhabbat karte hain ke woh unhein khushhaal banata hai; lekin agar un ke halaat thore bigar jaen, to woh Khuda par apne tamaam fakhriya imaan ko chhorne mein lamha bhar ta’amul nahin karte. Agar woh wazeh taur par yeh dekh saken ke un ke dil ki naam-nihaad tabdeeli ke waqt se duniya mein un ke halaat saazgaar rahe hain, to woh apne naqis tab‘ee tareeqe se Khuda ke saath muhabbat rakhenge; lekin agar unhein zara si museebat ka bhi saamna karna pare, to woh Khudawand ke khilaaf baghawat par utar aate hain. Un ki muhabbat dastarkhwaan se hai, na ke mezbaan se; woh ghar ke maalik se nahin balkay us ki inaayaton se muhabbat rakhte hain. Jahan tak haqeeqi Masihi ka ta‘alluq hai, woh agle jahan mein apne ajr ki umeed rakhta hai aur isi imaan ki badolat is zindagi ki sakhtiyon ko bardasht karta hai. Purane ‘ahd ka wada museebat hai. Masih ke in alfaaz ko yaad kijiye ke, “Har woh daali jo mujh mein hai aur phal nahin laati”—kya?—“woh use chhaantta hai taake woh zyada phal laaye.” Agar aap phal lana chahte hain to aap ko dukh sehna pare ga. Aap kehte hain, “Haaye! yeh kaisi khaufnaak baat hai.” Lekin yaad rakhein, dukh utha kar hi phal laya jaata hai, aur woh Masihi jo dukhon ke tajribe mein aksar guzarta rehta hai wahi bohot sa phal bhi laata hai. Is liye aap ko museebaton mein khush rehne ka hunar zaroor seekhna chahiye, kyunke jaise jaise imaandaar ki museebatein barhti jaati hain, waise waise Khudawand Yasu‘ Masih ke waseelay se us ki tasalli aur barkat bhi barhti jaati hai. Yaqeen kijiye, agar aap Khuda ke haqeeqi farzand hain to aap ta’deeb ki laathi se nawaaqif nahin rahenge. Jald ya dair, sone ki har dalli ko aag mein se guzarna hi parta hai. Darein nahin, balkay is baat par khush hon ke aap ke liye aise ba-barkat mauqay aane wale hain jin ke zariye aap ka dil duniya se uchaat ho jaayega aur aap aasmaan ke laaiq ban jaayenge; aap is duniya aur is ki cheezon ke saath chimte rehne ki aadat se nijaat paayenge aur un abadi cheezon ke mushtaaq ban jaayenge jo bohot jald aap par zaahir hone wali hain. Jab aap yeh mehsoos karenge ke aap is maujooda zindagi mein yun hi Khuda ki ibaadat aur khidmat nahin kar rahe, to phir aap mustaqbil ke la-mutanaahi ajr ki shaadmaani zaroor paayenge.
